Chlorine Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
The Chlorine Maintenance Supervisor directs and supervises a work force composed of Company employees and contract maintenance personnel in procedures and techniques of repairing, rebuilding and preventive maintenance of major mechanical equipment. The Chlorine Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, training and work coordination of electricians and instrument technicians. The Chlorine Maintenance Supervisor performs the primary thinking encompassed by this job description, complies with all Company policies and procedures, and fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises craftsmen in CA&O Maintenance Department in the performance of repairs and preventive maintenance to all equipment.
- Supervises the activities, evaluate the individual performance and identify training needs of electricians and instrument technicians, in order to improve personal skills and meet the goals and objectives of the plant.
- Analyzes problems in malfunctioning units in facility.
- Coordinate, plan and schedule E&I maintenance activities to meet the demands and the priority of the plant.
- Establishes and oversees compliance to standard maintenance procedures.
- Requests major repair parts, materials and equipment for normal repairing and turnaround jobs.
- Makes recommendations and executes approved modifications to equipment.
- Organizes effective workforce for twenty-four hours maintenance capability.
- Recommends necessary spare parts for major equipment in the Plant.
- Plans and carries out preventive maintenance and repair maintenance work.
- Contacts vendors to provide technical assistance required to obtain comparable bids on purchases of installation of equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years progressive experience in maintenance preferred, including "hands on" experience in manufacturing plant maintenance.
- Five years of electrical experience preferred.
- MS Office and SAP experience preferred.
