SUMMARY

Responsible for scheduling all new orders daily.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manages the time and job responsibilities of Production Clerks and Production Schedulers.
  • Create and maintain a realistic and valid daily production schedule.
  • Assign production dates on all new orders daily.
  • Responsible for all daily production scheduling.
  • Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
  • Comply with established safety rules.
  • Comply with company policy and procedures.
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers and supervisors/managers.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to satisfaction of the Manufacturing Planning Manager.

  • Education:

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Communication:

Ability to apply solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
