Fabrication Operator-Prefinish 2nd Shift-Mon-Fri

SUMMARY

With direction from the shift supervisor, this position will support the post extrusion operations including, but not limited to Zuri® trim folding, fabrication, cutting, and packaging. This position will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery, loading and offbearing material, cutting material, product inspection, packing, and operating a forklift to move in-process and finished product.  The mix of duties will vary based on production needs. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

• ·         Set up and operation of Zuri® fold machine
• ·         Set up and operation of molder
• ·         Set up and operation of corner fold machine
• ·         Meet daily production rate set by management
• ·         Follow quality specifications and maintain level of quality consistent with standards
• ·         Comply with and enforce safety and environmental policies and standards
• ·         Identify potential safety risks and take corrective action in accordance with established safety rules
• ·         Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy
• ·         Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
• ·         Perform other duties as assigned to satisfaction of Production Supervisor

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

•  ·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• ·         Ability to safely operate a forklift
• ·         Proficient with label printing software
• ·         Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
• ·         Ability to read digital calipers
• ·         Ability to read a tape measure
• ·         Ability to use a stapler, bander and safety knife
