Job Description

As HR Business Partner (HRBP) (f/m/d) you will be responsible for aligning the organization’s people strategy with its business strategy. You will be responsible for the full employee life cycle - from recruitment, through onboarding, career development to off-boarding for the Barbastro site. Together with line managers, you will set priorities, drive values, and deliver business results.

This position is located in Barbastro, Spain. On-site availability is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage integrity of HR data and process all changes in personnel information, salary, compensation etc. and end to end Payroll processing
  • Accomplish and put in place both Chemical Collective Bargaining Agreement and local company agreements when applicable.
  • Onboard new employees to the company, developing adequate induction and training and manage succession planning of staff.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues incl. day-to-day performance management, e.g. termination, organizational changes and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor analyze and report different metrics at plant level incl. annual labor cost budget, actual labor cost, absence rates, benefits, turnover, overtime, open positions, CEO pay ratio.
  • Lead Works Council relations balancing collective employees requests with the business objectives.
  • Lead local implementation of Westlake HR procedures and strategy
  • Drive recurrent Westlake corporate HR processes
  • As member of the site management team, act as a strong contributor on local decisions with the aim of improving and optimizing the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and more than 5 years of progressive professional HR experience. (preferably in an industrial and international environment);
  • up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management
  • Conflict management and negotiation skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and design/optimize work processes and Results-driven
  • Respectful verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English (preferred C1) language, both verbal and written;
  • Expert in Windows based software (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
