Royal Building Products, a vinyl siding manufacturer in Columbus OH, has a full-time opening for an Inventory Clerk. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and all cycle count functions for Royal Building Products at assigned location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform cycle counts of finished goods and raw materials to ensure inventory accuracy (multiple facilities)
  • Run cycle count variance reporting in JDE and Reports Now
  • Investigate inventory variances & discrepancies identified from above reports
  • Assist with cycle counts for spare parts storerooms & research variances as required
  • Complete month-end and year-end inventory counts
  • Complete off-site physical inventory counts at the direction of the manager/supervisor
  • Climbing and tape dropping onsite silo’s up to 70’ tall to verify inventory levels
  • Maintain various record keeping
  • Comply with established safety rules
  • Comply with company policy and procedures
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers and supervisors/managers
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned to satisfaction of supervisor
  • Provide personal transportation between all sites
  • May be required to work some weekends to complete quarterly/annual physical inventory process

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required: Warehouse experience. Proven experience driving a forklift, good communication skills, demonstrates accountability and self-motivation, ability to work as part of a team. Basic computer knowledge and skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to hold, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must lift, carry and/or move up to 100 lbs. frequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, mobility to cover 2 facilities (North & South Plant) is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.  Noise level commensurate with large machinery.  Ear and eye protection must be worn at all times and steel toed shoes and long pants are required. Temperatures in the building, although maintained, can be effected by outside weather conditions.
