Summary: Fabricates new and repairs existing equipment using welders, torches, saws, and grinders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Fabricator is to safely and efficiently perform top-quality operational duties on a daily basis which include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Fabricates and repairs anything required for the facility or production operations
• Drawing/print reading for fabrication purposes
• Performs other work-related duties and tasks as assigned by leadership

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications: Knowledge of welding equipment and techniques, use of torches, saws, grinders and other power and hand tools. Experience with plasma cutter table and electric brake press required.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years’ experience as a welder/fabricator in an industrial maintenance department.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints.  Must be able to communicate well verbally with others.

Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills associated with work including angle determinations and understandings.

Reasoning Ability: Strong reasoning ability to comprehend and interpret designs.  Must work well with little supervision.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license.
