Job Description
SUMMARY
The Maintenance Field Coordinator ensures that Contractor Services are performed safely, timely and within budget for maintenance funded work. The Maintenance Field Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing the Contractor Safety Process. Maintenance Field Coordinators are the point of contact for Contractor Personnel regarding scheduling, permitting, timesheet approval and performing supplemental maintenance services at the Lake Charles PE&O Facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Support and drive accident prevention and environmental excellence.
* Ensure all contractor services and activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally sound manner while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
* Champion Contractor Maintenance Field Execution Activities
* Maintenance Field Coordinators are the liaison between maintenance, operations and contractors while providing schedule coordination in the execution of projects.
* Reviews and manages Construction Services, Work Orders, Purchase Contracts, & Permit for Maintenance Contract Services
* Review safety & permit requirements with Contractors.
* Maintenance Field Coordinators serve as Westlake’s contact person if Contractors need assistance.
* Coordinate all contractor activities for maintenance funded work across the units, plant and site working with other field maintenance coordinators.
* Maintenance Field Coordinators execute prioritized WO’s & PO’s to ensure the highest priority / value jobs are performed in a timely manner.
* Coordinate preparation of complicated clearing packages and Job Safety Analyses.
* Review preliminary schedules to ensure they meet the needs of the unit, plant and site.
* Approve expediting and overtime requirements to ensure jobs will be completed in time to meet the needs of the unit, plant and site.
* Act as liaison between contractor, operations and maintenance groups to address any problems with adhering to the schedule.
* Coordinate asbestos, lead, mercury and waste disposal programs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work.
* A current, valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.
* 10 years of Construction/Maintenance experience or equivalent education/experience. * Previous experience in petrochemicals plant operations.
* Knowledge of maintenance, planning and scheduling requirements for petrochemical equipment.
* Experience with, word processing, spreadsheets, SAP.
* Understanding of mechanical, electrical and control processes and technology.
* Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Maintenance/Scheduling, Managers, Supervisors and Crafts Persons.
* Exhibit individual initiative and constantly seek continuous improvement. * Effective Leadership skills including effective conflict resolution and driving change.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
