Maintenance

SUMMARY:

• Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, and other process equipment.   

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains, fabricates, installs, repairs and/or replaces, the facility piping, valves, heat exchangers, and process equipment in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications normally in conjunction with a pipefitter or other maintenance craftsman.
• Utilizes electric, air and hydraulically driven tools and equipment.
• Utilizing welding, brazing, soldering and cutting equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Completes other routine or assigned duties as necessary to meet the maintenance department work schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
• Cleans up work area following completion of assigned task and properly disposes of waste materials.  Returns tools and equipment to normal storage areas.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum four years industrial welding experience for primary skill and attainment of qualifying skills in two additional maintenance crafts sufficient to assist other craftsmen in performance of their duties.
