SUMMARY

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for providing a broad range of financial accounting support to the Accounting/Finance team and the Siding & Trim business. Responsibilities encompass financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, operational support, maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls compliance.

ACCOUNTING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage various accounting accruals including customer rebates, special price reductions, buybacks and warranty.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze operating results including the preparation of slide decks for business review meetings.
  • Prepare monthly forecasting for Royal plants via working with sales and operations team.
  • Manage the sales and SG&A sections of the budget for the LBP plants.
  • Gather and distribute budget inputs such as budget assumptions and HR/payroll reports.
  • Prepare consolidated budget review slides and provide assistance to leadership teams as needed.
  • Maintain and distribute various budget templates including capital, financial bridges and other presentation templates.
  • Coordinate and consolidate QIP results as well as assist with the target setting process.
  • Provide support to engineering team through the AFE process and perform reviews of AFE documents prior to final submission as requested.
  • Work with the product development team to determine appropriate pricing on new product developments.
  • Distribute various reports such as CIP spending against budget, SG&A spend reports etc.
  • Coordinate and run Exteriors business reviews and budget meetings.
  • Manage and oversee a team of one to two members - Sr. Analyst/Sr. Accountant.
  • Review and authorize customer rebate and special price reduction payments as required as per DOA.
  • Develop and maintain various BPC reports and input templates.
  • Analysis and compliance with internal controls and Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to other teams as needed.
  • Undertake other tasks/special projects as and when assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance with at least ten plus years of progressive accounting experience, which must include:
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial or leadership role. Line management partnership and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Experience in a Sarbanes Oxley reporting environment.
  • Experienced with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Success driven and self-motivated.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and proven analytical ability.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  This position may occasionally be asked to visit the manufacturing operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.  Travel up to 10% including air or auto travel.
