SUMMARY

This position is responsible for executing tasks in the predictive/preventive maintenance program along with monitoring the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program from rotating and fixed equipment. Major duties include working with maintenance and operations to address problems identified by the predictive maintenance program for rotating equipment, maintaining documentation for the predictive/preventive maintenance program and implementing improved practices based on knowledge gained from investigating failures.  Also, provide APM software support for the Reliability Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compile and distribute; Monthly Report and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Create and Update SAP Equipment Masters
  • Create and Update SAP Material Numbers
  • Create and Update Meridium Equipment characteristics sheets.
  • Create and manage the electronic document management system utilized by Meridium.
  • Manage Maintenance equipment files and technical books.
  • Create SQL based Queries and Reports to allow for rapid retrieval of information in the Meridium database.
  • Manage the Reliability Group’s project database and Failure report database.
  • Manage and maintain the multiple Access databases utilized by both maintenance and reliability group.
  • Write notifications in SAP for work identified by the predictive maintenance program and track to completion.
  • Enter reliability data from failures into SAP or any other PM related database.
  • Track MTBR on all critical equipment.
  • Maintain awareness of equipment lubricants during routine rounds and communicate any discrepancies in a timely and effective manner to the applicable Production and Maintenance Supervision.
  • Maintain and update lubrication PMs in Meridium.  Create new lubrication task as necessary.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and update Relief Device Inspections in Meridium and SAP.  Ensure that all information is updated upon each inspection.
  • Maintain hard copy files for relief valves
  • Create and track all related inspection recommendations for relief devices until completion.
  • Update Meridium with inspection reports for all critical rotating equipment.
  • Assist Setpoint with current design specifications on relief devices during repair situations.
  • Mechanical PM Compliance tracking and reporting
  • Assist in management of site fleet vehicles. Pay for vehicle registration cost and schedule recalls and service with vehicle repair contractor
  • File Hoist and Crane PM and Test results in equipment files on server
  • Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of all personnel on site. Whenever appropriate; promptly report Safety, Health or Environmental incidents or issues to management so the situation can be corrected.  Attend Monthly Safety Meetings to help prevent off site and job accidents.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate.
  • SAP experience
  • Meridium experience
  • Typing and data entry skills
  • Proficient in M.S. Access, Excel, and Word.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job is performed mainly in control room or office setting; physical presence is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; have full use and range of motion of arms, hands and fingers to reach, grasp, hold, push or pull, twist, and work with tools; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lying down or working from elevated platforms. The employee must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to see details of objects that are more/less than a few feet away; see differences between colors, shades and brightness and determine the distance between objects. This job requires response to audible emergency alarms inside of the plant.  Employee must be able to evacuate when required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee must be able to work in a normal factory environment, including enclosed spaces and exposure to various hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.  Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
